Wunderground.com are currently offering a 1-year free premium membership, with the use of a promotional code – until the 4th of May 2015. Wunderground (Weather Underground) is a popular weather news and forecasting site offering forecasts, radar, satellite and a collection of other useful maps. Since Wunderground already provide most of their functionality for free (unlike ‘some’ other local websites) – the premium membership will not give you much more in the way of functionality, except for allowing for longer radar animations.

Most of the advanced features on the site work well for those interested in tracking North American weather, and there are plenty of great features and functions for tracking tornadoes, hurricanes and other severe weather. For this, the extended radar animations can definitely be useful. Apart from functionality, a premium membership also means that you will be receiving no advertisements on the site, making it quicker and neater.

Creating a premium account is simple…

Get Your Free Premium Membership

1. Head to the Wunderground Registration Page

2. Navigate to the bottom and click “I have a giftcode for Premium Membership”

3. Enter the code CLASC and complete your registration.

You will now be registered on Wunderground, with one year’s free premium benefits.
