| Strong Storms in Eastern Cape |

Around 16:30 today, 5 May 2009 there were a series of strong thunderstorms visible on the 50km East London radar which peaked at around 60 dBz which usually indicates extremely heavy rain or hail. These storms were originally heading south east before changing direction and heading north east for a while just to the north west of East London.
